When I was pregnant with Rosie, one of my friends said to me, “once you have your own baby it is ten times more exciting when your loved ones are due to have a baby” and now, Houlas… I totally get it. I was so excited for Stacey and Simon’s little bundle to arrive, because I knew they were about to feel a love like nothing anyone could ever describe. I knew their lives would change in the most incredible way possible, just as it had for me four months prior.
I actually started laughing with happiness when we received the news that Isabelle was born – I was just so overjoyed she was a girl… I know it would have been just as lovely if she was a boy, but selfishly, I was overjoyed imagining my little Rosie getting to grow up with Isabelle! And so happy that I could share my experience of having a daughter with Stacey at the same time.
If you can’t tell already, these two and their new little bub are very close to my heart and it was an absolute honour to photograph their beautiful little Isabelle. She is the sweetest little girl, the most beautiful face and a stunning head of hair! She is one very loved girl.
This is a very true example of how I shoot a newborn session. It’s natural and real – enjoy!
