I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE to photograph Debutantes! So many beautiful elements coming together to result in a happy, gorgeous girl make her debut.
As mentioned in my previous blog about debutante balls, this is a tradition that has held strong in many country locations around Australia (and probably elsewhere?) where girls are donned in white gowns with gorgeous bouquets and are introduced to society at a ball.
Isn’t Annie BEAUTIFUL! As a side note, I have determined that Annie has the best dimples I have seen in Mount Gambier – I apologise to all of the other dimpled beauties out there!
We began with family photos, then on to images with her little highland dancing flower girl, her friends and then completed the hour with my favourite part – Annie’s portraits. I will confess, Annie wanted a shot of her taken from above (see end post)…. I came home with an arm full of holly prickles from trying to stand on the worlds teeniest ledge! But all in all it was a success and totally worth it!
Thank you to Colhurst House for allowing us to use your beautiful garden and verandah on what was a typical rainy Mount Gambier day.
