Louise Agnew recently worked alongside COON cheese, in support of the Australian Dolphins swimming team to complete some commercial & lifestyle images of their toastie truck which travelled through Mount Gambier, South Australia.
Swimming Australia and iconic Australian brand COON Cheese have joined forces in the race to Rio and beyond with the pair forming a two-year partnership that will commence on Thursday 31 March until 2018.
This partnership will see an Australian made and much loved brand, COON Cheese, play an active role at Swimming Australia national events with their reach also extending beyond the sporting fan to people far and wide across the country through the COON Cheese Toastie Truck.
I have had the pleasure of completing some commercial photography, photographing the toastie truck on it’s journey, as it travels through the Limestone Coast, on it’s current journey from Melbourne to Adelaide, activating its product, the great Australian cheese toastie!
On Monday night, we followed the truck to a Mingbool dairy farm, where the dairy farmers enjoyed a late evening warm toastie. oozing delicious stringy cheese goodness! The following morning, we attended the Mount Gambier SwimSkool to feed hungry little post-swimming bellies. Later on Tuesday we visited the Warrnambool Cheese Factory at Mil-lel. Employees enjoyed a toastie lunch and then we were able to see them doing what they do best, making this magnificent COON cheese! How amazing to think this cheese is made in our beautiful little town of Mount Gambier.
The Coon Cheese Toastie Truck will continue to travel the country, attending a wide range of events with $1 from every $2 COON Cheese Toastie sandwich going back to support the Swimming Australia Junior Dolphins Program.
The Junior Dolphins Program is a national initiative encouraging children to join their local swimming club and introduce them to the sport of swimming – a fun and exciting activity and a valuable life skill.
Swimming Australia Chief Commercial Officer Chris Forbes said, “This is a perfect partnership for Swimming Australia, aligning with an iconic brand that will be supporting the development of future stars – and helping our fans to enjoy their events with great tasting toasted cheese sandwiches.
Following on from the announcement of the Seven Network as our broadcast partner last year this is another step forward for Swimming Australia,” Forbes said.
In addition to the Coon Cheese Toastie Truck, the Dolphins brand will appear on COON Cheese packaging in supermarkets around Australia.
The General Manager of Marketing at COON Cheese, Ted Lawson said “As swimming is the number one participation sport in Australia and we believe that all Australians should learn to swim this is the right partnership for Coon Cheese. We believe in promoting an active, healthy lifestyle one in which Coon Cheese and swimming can play an important role especially in children and young adults.
The Coon Cheese Toastie Truck will be raising money for Swimming Australia by selling Toasties, hot off the griddle, which is comfort food that all Australians grew up with. We like to say that eating a Coon Cheese Toastie is like that feeling you get when Mum wraps you with a towel after a swim. Comfort never grows old”
The partnership between COON Cheese, Swimming Australia and the Australian Dolphins Swim Team will actively launch in Adelaide at the 2016 Hancock Prospecting Australian Swimming Championships.
Fans will be able to come and taste the benefits of this partnership every day and night during the National Championships at the SA Aquatic & Leisure Centre in Adelaide from April 7 to 14 which is the start of the race to Rio for many aspiring young athletes.
